I spent most of the day in the hotel in preparation for the night activity of Day 3. My social battery was critically low by this point and a recharge was much needed. So I ubereats some ramen for lunch and lounged around watching Netflix all day.
Wzrd and his work group was able to score tickets to a Real Madrid futbol game, and they were gracious enough to include me. I was beyond excited, until I found out that the game doesn’t start until 9pm. (LOL) I was definitely still excited, just tiredly excited hahaha
We first had dinner with everyone. Dinner was not really worth mentioning, it was good, but not great. It was also kind of chaotic. Then we all hurried into the subway and off we went to the game! The subway in Madrid is … horrible. LOL It was hot, and paaacked full of people. There was no AC down there or in the subway. The station is like a maze, thank goodness we had people who knew where to go. I would’ve gotten so lost.
This is the second Real Madrid game I’ve attended. The first was back in 2007 when they came to play a friendly game with LA Galaxy. I’m not a big football fan, (still isn’t) but I’m a big fan of David Beckham. I was so happy when I got to see him in 2007.

Being in a stadium in Madrid for a Real Madrid game is something else. The atmosphere, the vibe, the energy is unmatched. The game was 1-1 until the last 30 seconds. 90 minutes was up, they added 5 minutes for all the injuries and misc. And literally during the last 30 seconds, Real Madrid scores another one, breaking the tie to 2 – 1 against Mallorca. The whole stadium roared, everyone was shouting and jumping. It was epic! This was not on my bucket list, but I’m so happy I got to experience it.
