So Day 4 was suppose to be a “bank holiday” in Madrid. So Wzrd didn’t have to go into the office, and we pretty much just chilled in the hotel for the most part. We were both tired and exhausted by the last few days activities.
They did, however, had one last work dinner plan, seeing is some people were leaving the following day. And once again, they were all very nice and included me into this fabulous dinner.
On our way back to hotel from the game the night before, we had walked by this area with a bunch of Michelin restaurants. One of which was, Soy Kitchen. It was an upscale Chinese place and looked really fancy. Everyone was interested in the menu, so Stew made a resy for us all. How nice of him!
** We got the cops called on us**
LOL . Right, so before dinner, we were all chilling in the hotel lobby bar. At first it was just the 4 of us, Pasquale, Chris, Wzrd and I. They were somewhat working, even though it was suppose to be a “bank holiday”. Then as the day progress, more people joined us at the bar. We started playing some card games or whatnot, and apparently we got so loud that the hotel called the cops. The cops were there for a little while just kind of hovering, never said a word to us. Which was weird … because we weren’t rowdy, hollering or anything. Just, loud.
Anyways, so dinner time rolls around and we all left the bar and headed out.

It was a 9 course dinner (plus bonus Bone Marrow course). Every bite was divine. I’ve never been one for course dinners. I don’t like preset menus. But this one blew my mind. Maybe it was because it was upscale Chinese food? The flavors just hit ! My favorite bites were the one with eel, and the torched beef one. The wagyu and fried rice at the end was so so good, I only wish it wasn’t one of the last courses so I could’ve enjoyed it while I wasn’t so full. And I absolutely need to talk about this bone marrow … it is by far the BEST bone marrow I’ve ever had. What a treat this dinner was.
