On our last leg of the trip, we headed back to Madrid from Barcelona. The train station at Barcelona was much better organized than Madrid.
We were going to meet up with Pasquale, but he was tired from wandering around by himself during the day. So Wzrd and I had a little date night. Their group went to this place call “Salmon Guru” during one of their team dinners. It is one of the top 50 bars in the world. I really wanted to go but was tired on the day they went. So Wzrd took me when we got back into Madrid.

Salmon Guru is this wacky bar, its decor is … unique. LOL Their drinks though were 😙🤌. My first drink was Sogni D’oro, it’s whiskey but it had this banana untone. It was nothing like I’ve ever had. Oh, and it came with a piece of white chocolate on the side. We ordered some small plates, ox tail takoyaki, and some crab dumplings. The ox tail takoyaki were so good 🤤, the crab dumplings were just okay. On our second round of drinks, I got some fruity drink but Wzrd decided to try this drink that tasted like a taco. And a taco it did taste like! It was unreal, and confusing lol
Since Wzrd was on business that first week in Madrid, he didn’t get to walk around like I did. So after drinks, I took him on a small tour around our area. We walked around to Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. It was getting late and we were looking for some dinner. I had this taco place bookmarked, so we trekked towards it.

Normally there’s a long line out the door at Takos Al Pastor, but when we arrived there was no line ! We got four tacos each, and on the way back to the hotel I saw this pastry shop, so we got some egg tarts for dessert.
Ya’ll! Those tacos were the B.E.S.T tacos I’ve ever had. I especially loved the al pastor tacos, perfectly seasoned and with a bit of sweet from the pineapple. I still think about these tacos ðŸ’✨🌙. The egg tarts were also delicious, they were a bit more custard like than egg tarts, but it was a perfect finish to the tacos.
