Welp, tomorrow I start my 4th decade on this planet. It has been a hell of a ride.

We went to Waikiki, Oahu for my birthday last week – yes in additional to the cruise, because I’m spoiled rotten. 🥰

5 nights in paradise to ring in my birthday was just perfect. I miss the sound of the ocean … the sound of waves crashing in. We lounged, ate, chilled, relaxed, reconnected. It was exactly what we needed.

We had brunch at the rents’ house yesterday morning. It was actually really nice … it’s been weird, but the walls between us are coming down slowly. I feel that since T’s passing, they’re realizing how little time we all have with each other. I definitely felt like dad has been putting in extra effort in bringing me back into the fold – while respecting my boundaries. It’s been nice. We’re even talking about taking a family vacation next year.

I sent dad and Mea two links for birthday present. One is a Songmont purse, the other is a perfume. Mea got me the Songmont Mini Song for my birthday, it is literally the cutest bag! Dad surprised me by gifting me one of his most valuable cameras in his collection … the Hasselblad. What a beauty this camera is. I still don’t really know how to operate it … will have to watch some tutorials and learn. I feel so grateful, so blessed. I cannot wait to see what my 4th decade will bring.
